Dhubri, February 4, 2024:In a commendable display of precision and expertise, the Dhubri Police, led by Sub-Inspector Kapil Chandra Das, executed a successful operation on the evening of February 4, resulting in the arrest of two notorious drug peddlers.
The operation, initiated based on actionable intelligence, culminated in the apprehension of Fazlul Haque from Ward No-14, Hazarigaon, and Nayan Chandra Nath, a resident of College Road in Dhubri.
The breakthrough came when the police team, armed with a reliable tip-off, swiftly descended upon Nath’s residence. The meticulous execution of the operation led to the confiscation of a significant quantity of illegal drugs.
Among the seized items were 30 bottles of prohibited cough syrup and 380 contraband tablets, shedding light on the magnitude of the illicit drug trade in the area. Nath, a seasoned player in the illegal drug business, had been openly conducting his operations from a shop located in the College Road vicinity for an extended period.
The proximity of Nath’s residence to his business establishment played a crucial role in the smooth execution of the police operation. Authorities believe that Nath’s arrest will significantly dent the drug trade network in the region, disrupting the illicit activities that had been thriving for an extended period.

The arrested individuals, Fazlul Haque and Nayan Chandra Nath, will face charges related to the possession and distribution of illegal substances.
