TRIPURA,15.02.2024:In a significant move aimed at advancing urban infrastructure in Tripura, the Central government has approved a staggering amount of Rs. 419 crore under the Special Assistance to Capital Incentives (Urban planning reforms) for the fiscal year 2023-24.
Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to announce the news. He expressed his gratitude and excitement, stating that the first installment of Rs. 83.80 crore has already been released for capital expenditure projects within the urban sector.
In his tweet, Chief Minister Dr. Saha said, “A major boost for Tripura’s urban development. An amount of Rs. 419 crore has been sanctioned for Tripura under Special Assistance to Capital Incentives (Urban planning reforms) 2023-24 by the Govt of India. The first installment of Rs 83.80 crore for taking up capital expenditure projects under the Urban sector has already been released.”
This substantial financial injection is expected to fuel transformative urban planning reforms and bolster infrastructure projects across Tripura. The Chief Minister went on to express his appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Housing & Urban Affairs, Hardeep S Puri, for their unwavering support and allocation towards the development of the state.
