The new addition is a calf, born to a cow at the Prime Minister’s residence. PM Modi has named the calf ‘Deepjyoti,’ a name inspired by a distinctive light-shaped mark on its forehead, translating to ‘light flame.’
In a post shared in Hindi, PM Modi referred to an ancient scriptural saying, “Gaavh Sarvasukh Pradaah,” meaning “the cow brings all prosperity,” to underscore the significance of the event. PM Modi’s post read, “It is said in our scriptures – ‘Gaavh Sarvasukh Pradaah’. A new member has auspiciously arrived at the Prime Minister’s residence premises at Lok Kalyan Marg.” He added, “The beloved mother cow has given birth to a new calf, which has a symbol of light on its forehead. Hence, I have named it ‘Deepjyoti’.”
