New Delhi / Hisar, May 20, 2025: In a shocking development, Jyoti Malhotra, a popular Indian YouTuber and travel vlogger from Hisar, Haryana, has been arrested on charges of espionage and allegedly sharing sensitive Indian military information with Pakistan. The 33-year-old ran a YouTube channel titled ‘Travel with JO’, which had amassed nearly 4 lakh subscribers and featured over 450 travel videos, including several from Pakistan.
According to Delhi Police sources, Jyoti Malhotra had reportedly been in contact with an official from the Pakistan High Commission in India and had visited Pakistan at least twice without informing her family. She was arrested last week under charges related to the Official Secrets Act and is currently being interrogated by intelligence agencies.
Her father, Harish Malhotra, expressed shock over the arrest and claimed ignorance of her alleged activities. Speaking to news agency ANI, he said,
“She used to tell me that she was going to Delhi. I had no idea she was visiting Pakistan or that she was involved in anything like this. I didn’t even know she had a YouTube channel.”
He also backtracked from his earlier statement that Jyoti had gone to Pakistan to shoot videos, now saying,
“She used to make videos at home.”
Some of the travel vlogs that have now come under scrutiny include:
-
Indian Girl in Pakistan
-
Indian Girl Exploring Lahore
-
Indian Girl at Katas Raj Temple
-
Indian Girl Rides Luxury Bus in Pakistan
These videos had gained significant traction, with lakhs of views and engagement from audiences across India and Pakistan.
