Guwahati, June 8 2025 :In a landmark move to transform Assam’s education landscape, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday launched the ‘Swagata Satirtha’ portal — a revolutionary digital platform for transparent, hassle-free mutual transfers in the Education Department.
The CM also unveiled the ‘Jiban Anuprerana’ scheme, a state-backed initiative to empower and support budding research scholars across Assam — a double boost to education and innovation.
“More than 9,000 employees have already benefited from Swagata Satirtha — without spending a paisa or knocking on anyone’s door,” said Dr. Sarma, emphasizing the platform’s transparency and zero-corruption model.
The Swagata Satirtha portal aims to eliminate middlemen and favoritism in the transfer process. The current window for mutual transfer applications is open until September, with a second window planned for November. The government will also hold a ceremonial distribution of transfer orders for Grade III and IV staff in the coming days.
In tandem, the Jiban Anuprerana scheme is set to nurture Assam’s research and academic community, providing structured support for scholars, thus fostering a vibrant knowledge ecosystem.
“This is our commitment to modern, merit-driven governance. Swagata Satirtha and Jiban Anuprerana will set new benchmarks for service delivery and research promotion in Assam,” Dr. Sarma affirmed.
These twin initiatives align with the Assam Government’s vision for a digitally empowered administration and a future-ready education system.
