GUWAHATI: On a four-day assessment and inspection trip, Chief Engineer, Project Brahmank, Ajay Kumar Mishra along with Commander 44 Border Roads Task Force (BRTF), Col BPS Tomar and a proficient team of engineers inspected the ongoing works on Aalo-Kaying-Tato and Tato–Lamang axis in West Siang and Shi-Yomi district of Arunachal Pradesh under the area of responsibility of HQ 44 BRTF from October 12 to 15.
The chief engineer reviewed the progress of ongoing works on Along-Kaying Road and appreciated the efforts done by 92 Road Construction Company (RCC) in the upgradation of Aalo-Kaying Road with state-of-the-art road aesthetics and road safety measures which brought a new sense of modernization of border roads.
The chief engineer also inspected the upgradation works of Kaying-Tato Road to NHDL specifications and directed that all out efforts should be made for blacktopping at least 12 km of Kaying-Tato Road by March 31 and expedite the works so that the project will be completed within the timeline.
On arrival at Tato, the chief engineer was briefed by OC, 1443 Bridge Construction Company (BCC) on the ongoing Engineering Procurement Contract (EPC) works and several other works including the construction of major permanent bridge works on Tato-Menchukha Road.
He also interacted with the contractors working on Tato- Menchukha Road and directed them to expedite the pace of construction while ensuring the highest quality standards. The focus was to ensure adherence to engineering standards, effective project management & timely execution of these vital infrastructure projects.
The chief engineer expressed satisfaction with the progress of the ongoing departmental works and its pivotal role in strengthening the border region’s infrastructure and acknowledged the dedication and hard work demonstrated by the project team and emphasized the need for continued collaboration and timely completion of these strategic works.
He also inaugurated the renovated Central Medical Inspection Room (CMIR) located at HQ 44 BRTF, equipped with new technological medical equipment dedicated to the treatment of Serving personnel and CPLs.
He also interacted with the BRO personnel at all work sites and directed them to work in mission mode for the best utilization of the working season ahead. Before his departure to Pasighat on Monday, the chief engineer lauded the efforts of the 44 Border Roads Task Force in the development of infrastructure and in providing connectivity to the far-flung areas of Arunachal Pradesh and urged to maintain the same spirit and motivation in connecting the remotest corners of the country to the mainstream.
