GUWAHATI, 23.02.2024: Assam witnesses a major bureaucratic overhaul as the state government initiates a significant reshuffle in the administrative setup. The home department of the state government issued a notification today, announcing the transfer and posting of several Assam Civil Service (ACS) officers.
In a swift move, the Circle Officer of Ghograpar Revenue Circle in Nalbari, Manisha Kalita, has been transferred and posted as the Circle Officer of Dergaon Revenue Circle in Golaghat. This reshuffle, affecting officers across various revenue circles, is aimed at optimizing administrative efficiency and addressing the dynamic needs of different regions.
Among other notable changes, Devahuti Deka, the Circle Officer of Jorhat East Revenue Circle, Jorhat, has been transferred to Khumtai Revenue Circle in Golaghat. Meanwhile, Moitryayee Moran, the Circle Officer of Morigaon Revenue Circle, Morigaon, takes charge as the Circle Officer of North Guwahati Revenue Circle in Kamrup.
Shilpi Shikha Thakuria, who was serving as the Circle Officer of Chabua Revenue Circle, Dibrugarh, is now posted as the Circle Officer of Nalbari Revenue Circle in Nalbari. The reshuffle also sees Pranjal Baruah moving from Nalbari to Agomoni Revenue Circle in Dhubri.
New officers are stepping into their roles as well, with Kritika Basumatary joining after availing Child Care Leave and taking charge as the Circle Officer of Dangtol Revenue Circle in Bongaigaon.
The personnel movements extend beyond revenue circles, with officers like Pooja Das and Sameer Choudhury being transferred to Balijana Revenue Circle in Goalpara and Goroimari Revenue Circle in Kamrup, respectively.
The reshuffle also includes reversion of Kushal Kalita, Circle Officer of Sonapur Revenue Circle in Kamrup (M), back to the Personnel Department for further posting.
These changes, implemented with immediate effect, are expected to bring fresh perspectives and administrative vigor to the respective revenue circles. The government emphasizes that the reshuffle is in the interest of public service and aims to enhance overall governance in the state.
The bureaucratic realignment also reflects the commitment of the Assam government to ensure a responsive and efficient administration that caters to the diverse needs of the state’s regions.
