11th July 2024,New Delhi: The Delhi government’s health department announced on Wednesday that it has issued an order to form a committee to examine the possibility of enhancing the retirement age for doctors.
This decision has received prior approval from the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, the department stated.
The committee’s formation follows directions issued by the High Court, prompting the health department to explore the matter of increasing the age of superannuation for doctors from 65 years to 70 years.
