GUWAHATI,February 4, 2024:In a groundbreaking move, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma declared February 4 as a “golden day” for the state, marking a historic occasion where developmental projects worth Rs 11,600 crore were dedicated to the people in a single day.
Expressing his elation, Chief Minister Sarma stated, “Today is a golden day for Assam, a new dawn for a historic chapter that we cannot forget. Our beloved Assam has witnessed the inauguration of projects worth Rs 11,600 crore in a single day—a feat unprecedented in our state’s history.”
The Chief Minister attributed the success to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and highlighted the achievements made under his guidance. He specifically mentioned the successful peace accords with various insurgent groups, including ULFA, Bodo, Karbi, Dimasa, and Adivasi. “Today, after many years, Assam is experiencing a shift from the shadows of conflict to the brightness of development. Thousands of youth have left the path of terror and embraced the mainstream, symbolizing a return to normalcy,” remarked Chief Minister Sarma.
