Along with the new colour launch, Nothing has also announced improvements to its Nothing X software.
Carl Pei’s hardware startup, Nothing, has introduced a new colour variant for its TWS earbuds, the Nothing Ear 2. The earbuds are now available in black, in addition to the original white option, for those who prefer a more subtle look.
Nothing has followed a minimalist philosophy for all its products so far, offering two colour choices for each one – except for the Nothing Ear Stick. However, unlike the Ear 1, the Ear 2’s black variant is priced the same as the white one at Rs 9,999.
The two colour options also have a slight difference in their design. The white option combines white and black elements, while the black option is fully blacked out and looks far more discreet.
Along with the new colour launch, Nothing has also announced improvements to its Nothing X app, headlined by a new function that allows users to adjust the equaliser with precision. Users can now personalise sound with frequency control through a graphical interface. Users can also create profiles for different genres and share them with friends via QR codes. This update is only for the Nothing Ear 2 and Nothing Ear Stick.
The Nothing Ear Stick has also received a Noise Reduction feature that can be activated by connecting the earbuds to Nothing X and going to Device Settings > Noise Reduction.
The Nothing X app can be downloaded on Andriod and iOS devices from Google Play Store and the App Store. The Nothing Ear 2 black colour variant can be bought from Flipkart.
