Guwahati,;07.01.2024:In preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, the Congress party in Assam has officially formed an election committee comprising 38 prominent members. The list, released by the All India Congress Committee, highlights key leaders in the state, with Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Bhupen Borah appointed as the chairman of the election committee.
Debabrata Saikia, the CLP leader and leader of the opposition, has been named as the vice-chairman of the committee, bringing a wealth of experience to the strategic planning for the upcoming elections.
The list of 38 members includes some of the most influential figures within the Assam Congress, such as Gaurav Gogoi, Rakibul Hussain, Pradyut Bordoloi, Abdul Khaleque, Rana Goswami, Kamalakhya Dey Purkayastha, and Paban Singh Ghatowar.
